Korea welcomes ‘digital nomads’ with new visa

Foreigners can now apply to work remotely in Korea with the new workcation visa. Also known as the digital nomad visa, this new visa will allow foreigners to work remotely in Korea for a company abroad for one year, which can be extended up to a maximum of two years.

Applicants will need to be 18 or older, have worked in their current field for at least a year, and have an annual income double the amount of Korea's gross national income (GNI) per capita for the previous year.
