Singapore retains its title as Asia's happiest country for the second consecutive year, ranking 30th globally in the 2024 World Happiness Report. The report, based on the Gallup World Poll, evaluates factors like GDP per capita, healthy life expectancy, social support, freedom, generosity, and perception of corruption.
Singapore's government is praised for its clean government and low perception of corruption, with Denmark and Norway ranking 2nd and 7th, respectively. However, Singapore ranks lower in perceived social support, freedom to make life choices, and generosity.
Conversely, Myanmar, Cambodia, India, Sri Lanka, and Bangladesh are among Asia's least happy nations. India, the most populous, ranks 126th globally.
