SingCham Korea joins 14 other Chambers to sign a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with the Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency (Kotra) in a new initiative. This new initiative, called 'Business+ Forum', will provide economic-related educational programs for expatriates working in South Korea.
The forum will begin in March next year, with SingCham's chosen topic slated for early 2023. The topics to be dealt with at the program include recent domestic economic and industrial trends that can help business management and risk prevention. Kotra and the 15 chambers will select topics for the program, which will be held once a month, and also invite renowned speakers for lectures.
Expats at the management and executive level working in foreign companies, international organizations, and embassies in Korea will be able to apply for the course.
SingCham Korea's Chairman, Mr. Justin Yong, acknowledged that this will be a great opportunity for our young chamber. "This is a great initiative by Kotra that will benefit the international community and the many Singaporean expats and business owners here in Korea. With its english based program and objective towards high-quality business information sharing, the value in content and network that will come from each session will be tremendous. I strongly believe the Business+ Forum program will provide valuable information and insights to all our participating members at SingCham and moreover allow us as a young chamber to learn from the experiences of some of the other more mature chambers here.
I look forward to its commencement and am excited to work closely with the other participating chambers and KOTRA to make this program a success." He said.
We look forward to be a part of this great initiative.
