SingCham Korea Year End Gala A Night in Hallyuwood

Seoul, South Korea - November 29, 2024 - The Singapore Chamber of Commerce in Korea (SingCham Korea) hosted its first ever gala with a night of celebration, collaborations, and reflection on another successful year, bringing together about 200 distinguished guests from the business, diplomatic, and cultural communities.

Held at the world’s highest hotel banquet hall at Signiel Seoul, with a gorgeous view of Seoul’s city skyline, the event marked the culmination of a year filled with achievements, partnerships, and cross-border collaborations between Singapore and South Korea. It also highlighted the growing role of SingCham in promoting business, cultural, and social exchanges between the two nations.

Guests were treated to an evening of fine dining, live entertainment, interactive games, and a sneak peek into the Chamber’s plans for 2025 which will mark the 50th anniversary of the diplomatic relations between Singapore and South Korea.

The evening kicked off with speeches by Mr Eric Teo, Singapore's Ambassador to the Republic of Korea who is also SingCham Korea’s Honorary Patron and Mr Justin Yong, SingCham Korea’s Chairman, followed by live performances by Singaporean singer-songwriter Nat Ho, and dancers from 1MILLION Dance Studio, one of the most well-known dance studios in Korea.

“This gala represents more than just a celebration of our achievements; it is a reminder of the strong ties that bind Singapore and Korea. As we look ahead to the exciting plans for 2025, we remain committed in continuing to foster deeper connections and creating new opportunities for our members,” said Justin Yong, Chairman of SingCham Korea.

“2025 is a major milestone for Singapore and the Republic of Korea. Since the establishment of diplomatic ties in 1975, cooperation between our two countries has broadened and deepened, growing and evolving into a multifaceted partnership,” said Ambassador Eric Teo. “The Singapore Embassy in Seoul looks forward to working closely with SingCham Korea and other partners to commemorate the important milestone year in 2025.”

The event was also an opportunity for the Chamber to express its gratitude to its sponsors, partners, members, and volunteers, whose support has been integral to the Chamber’s success over the past year.

SingCham Korea would like to thank everyone who contributed in making this event a success, and also to everyone who has supported the Chamber not just in the past year, but since its inception, and look forward to another year of building bridges between the Singapore and Korean business communities.
