Made-in-Singapore Electric Vehicles Have Arrived

The Hyundai Motor Group Innovation Center in Singapore (HMGICS) is manufacturing the first electric vehicles (EV) in Singapore. To celebrate this special milestone, the company is launching 100 units of the IONIQ 5 First 100 that will be available for bidding, with proceeds going to the President’s Challenge.

Announced in 2020 in a virtual groundbreaking ceremony, the HMGICS is an open innovation lab which focuses on future mobility research and development, combining advanced technologies such as AI, ICT, and big data to foster a work environment where creativity can thrive and human value is enhanced.

Located in the heart of Singapore, the centre contributes to the building of Singapore as a responsible industry member in the smart ecosystem, using eco-friendly energy sources like solar and hydrogen energy to help achieve carbon neutrality.

Find out more about how Hyundai is innovating for future mobility solutions here in Singapore.

You can also bid for your very own The IONIQ 5 First 100, and see it live in action at the Singapore Motorshow this weekend at Suntec Singapore International Convention & Exhibition Centre Level 4.
