The Singapore Chamber of Commerce in Korea (SingCham Korea) wanted to celebrate Singapore's birthday this year with fellow Singaporeans and friends of Singapore here, so we decided to host a live viewing party of the National Day Parade.
But nobody expected the torrential rains that flooded Seoul the night before... So it was incredibly heartening to see so many of our friends still show up despite the heavy rains. We hope that we made it worth your while, with the delicious food and great company!
The theme of this year's celebration was "Stronger Together", which we're sure resonated with many of us, having gone through this pandemic for over 2 years now. We've somehow managed to get through the various challenges thrown at us because of our community and strong support systems. This also coincides with what SingCham Korea aspires to be - a strong support system and network for Singaporean and Korean businesses.
While the main event for the night was the live viewing of the parade, the most exciting part for everyone was probably the lucky draw event - with the grand prize being a round-trip ticket to Singapore!
