Valarie is a current MBA graduate at Yonsei University. She is an experienced regional account manager in the retail industry with seven years of experience. She has led cross-regional and functional teams and worked with the c-suite level to develop and expand brands and products to overseas markets. Her experiences range across multiple departments and functions in the retail industry, working in start-up companies, e-commerce, product management, brand management, and marketing.

From humble beginnings, Valarie started as an Assistant Merchandiser after graduating from Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts in Fashion Marketing and Merchandising. After gaining a few years of working experience, Valarie was awarded the WDA Retail Scholarship to pursue her Bachelor's Degree at the University of Stirling, Scotland. Upon graduation, she worked as a Merchandiser for departmental stores in LATAM. She eventually became the Account Manager working with fashion beauty brands such as Sephora, Dior, Shiseido, and Benefit.
One of the notable achievements was in 2018 when Valarie was working in a start-up company, Zilingo. She led a team to build a private-label brand under Zilingo, Laiqa (a modest wear label) for the Indonesian market. Her team built the brand from scratch within 2 1/2 months, and it soon expanded onto other online platforms such as Shopee, Tokopedia, and Lazada.
